Shopping

Shopping is the practice of purchasing goods and services from retailers. The purpose of shopping differs from person to person. Some people do shopping when it’s a need, or required, however for some others it’s a recreational activity and psychological interest.

Yet in both cases people need to know several tips and tricks on shopping. There are certain things that a common shopper doesn’t know about shopping.

Generally, the retailers buy the products/services at the wholesale prices from the manufacturers, and then sell them further to the customers at retail prices that are usually higher than wholesale prices. The difference between wholesale prices and retail prices is a retailers’ profit. The retailers always try to sell products/services at higher retail prices in order to earn maximum profits.

Here lies a shopper’s chance to “haggling”, which is commonly termed as bargaining. The important question is that why the situation like haggling or bargaining or negotiation about the price does arises.

The simple reason is that sometimes a retailer sells a product at different rates to different buyers. The retailer sometimes exploit several shoppers because of their affluence, willingness to pay, carelessness, lack of knowledge, or eagerness to buy, and sells the product to them at high prices, however same product is other times sold at lower prices to some other shoppers. Thus careful and little alert shoppers are successful in buying the products in reasonable prices thru haggling.

Shopping these days has a very popular facet that is popularly known as online shopping, the shopping on Internet. There are myriads of online stores selling products online.
